Education

Sustainability is an everyday part of life – human knowledge and its practical application play a vital part in this. That is why ThyssenKrupp invests significantly in employee training and education by supporting programs which promote education and science through schools and universities. Some initiatives include:

  • Cooperation with Schools: For years, ThyssenKrupp has worked with schools located near its production facilities. With the goal of enhancing students’ interests in science and engineering. ThyssenKrupp has established professional, methodical and work-related activities in the areas of career counseling, internships, plant visits and project work. Students receive vocational training and job-related insights into the highly technical process of steel production.
  • Study Support: This program is aimed at students studying business and science, as well as mechanical, electric and industrial engineering. The program allows ThyssenKrupp managers to mentor participants in their studies.
  • Ideas Exchange: The aim of this program is to encourage sharing of scientific knowledge and to address common concerns such as education and international cooperation.
