    CALVERT, ALABAMA, [December 1, 2009] - ThyssenKrupp Steel USA and ThyssenKrupp Stainless USA announced today that they will be holding a jobs fair on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians tribal office located at 1080 West Red Fox Road in Mount Vernon, Alabama.

  • ThyssenKrupp Awards Contract for Construction of Major Facility Components

    10/16/07 – MOBILE, ALABAMA – ThyssenKrupp Steel USA, LLC today announced that SMS Demag AG was awarded a contract to construct two critical elements of the $3.7 billion steel and stainless steel processing facility planned for Calvert, AL. SMS Demag will build both the facility’s hot strip mill and cold rolling complex. Installation is expected to begin in early 2009.

    05/11/07 - TROY, MICHIGAN - ThyssenKrupp today announced that it has selected Alabama as the home for its new state-of-the-art steel and stainless steel processing facility. The facility, a cooperative effort between ThyssenKrupp Steel and ThyssenKrupp Stainless, will be located in Northern Mobile and Southern Washington counties. The decision was approved this morning by ThyssenKrupp AG’s Supervisory Board during its meeting in Düsseldorf, Germany.

    03/15/07 - TROY, MICHIGAN – ThyssenKrupp Steel and Stainless USA, LLC today announced that it filed permit applications in the states of Alabama and Louisiana for its planned $2.9 billion facility in the United States. Last month, ThyssenKrupp confirmed that it is proceeding with the development of a new state-of-the-art steel and stainless steel manufacturing and processing facility in one of the two states.
